I became a Christian in the early years of the fall of communism in Albania at the age of 14. I finished my studies on Finance & Accounting in 1999 at the Tirana University and afterwards continued my studies at the two years program of the Center for Christian Leadership in Tirana. That was also my first full time job and my responsibilities included finances, administration, teaching and mentoring. Altin and I got married in 2003 and we had both committed our lives to serving God among our people by then. We were excited to plant a Church in Tirana that would reach the young generation. We had our two boys, Martin and Rubin, in 2004 and 2008 respectively and I was working in the Banking sector in various roles as Process and Project Manager in department, division and corporate level to support our family. In 2008 God lead us to building a special needs ministry where our Church could reach out the community by meeting practical needs. Jonathan Center was founded in 2008 after Altin’s nephew, Jonathan, who was born with Down Syndrome in February 2004. It was serving 6 families of children with Down Syndrome with Occupational and Speech Therapy, nonexistent at the time in our country. As the Jonathan Center work grew, I resigned from the Bank in January 2014 and committed fully to ministry work. Today we serve over 150 families of children with Down Syndrome and various diagnoses with various therapies, support their parents with counseling, empower professionals and parents with various training, raise awareness in our community and share faith and love with our families as we care for them. Altin and I continue to lead our Church and as it grows and supports community events of the Jonathan Center, Altin also needs a Church planting network of empowering Albanian leaders to start new Churches.
