Called to Share the Gospel

Louis grew up in the church and believed in Jesus, but lived his own life. Football became his identity and purpose. However, his NFL career was cut short in 2017 when he suffered a knee injury. His identity and purpose were gone. He fell into depression and didn’t know what to do with his life. God had a different plan in mind. He decided to go on his first mission trip to the Philippines in February 2020. On this trip, God revealed to him that He uses broken people for His glory. Toward the end of the trip, Louis encountered the love of Jesus. He had a vision of God’s hand coming from the clouds pointing at his heart. As this was happening, it was as if sin was parting from his chest. God told him, “Louis, I don’t care about what you’ve done, I died for you and I love you.” Louis thought in that moment, how can God still love me despite all the messed up things I’ve done? I’ll do anything for you. At that moment, Louis fully surrendered his life to Jesus and was born again. He was instantly freed from shame, condemnation, depression, and addiction to pornography. God has called Louis to share the Gospel throughout the world, to reach the unreached, and to go to the hardest places no one goes. As part of this calling, God put it on his heart to study all 66 books of the Bible. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in December 2022 with a Master’s in Christian Studies.  He completed the Gateway Ministry Experience in December 2022, a 16-week internship program with his church. Following this, he completed a 6-month internship at Christ’s Reward in July 2023. He led various mission trips, taught classes on evangelism, trained churches on sharing their faith, and empowered others through discipleship. He is someone who does his best to submit to obeying Jesus. He currently carries a literal 10ft cross (traveled 23 of 50 states and in the countries of Netherlands, Canada, and Ireland). He also leads people on Faith Trips. These are trips based on Luke 9 and 10, going into a location with no plans, being fully led by the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel and build the faith of others. Along with that, he does various evangelism-outreaches where he resides. When invited, he speaks to share the Gospel, trains people to share the Gospel, leads mission trips, disciples, guides people through fasts, and helps people grow in their relationship with Jesus. On top of this, he wrote his first book, “The Fast Walk: Moving Away From Food and Closer to Jesus Through Fasting,” releasing on April 4, 2025. 

Fun Facts: Louis loves to play chess, run, read books, and is big on health and fasting.
