Lydia and Salvator Schopfhauser

Our names are Lydia and Salvator Schopfhauser, and God has ignited an unquenchable flame for revival in our hearts!

Though we grew up on opposite sides of the world—Salvator in Vienna and Lydia in Chicago—our paths converged through a shared passion to see the unified Bride of Christ come alive. Lydia began her journey as a full-time missionary in Guatemala for three years, while Salvator completed seminary in Austria. We met while attending Bible school in California, where we sensed God’s call to move to Germany and help awaken the European Church to the reality that Jesus is alive and God is moving in miraculous ways today!

OUR AREAS OF MINISTRY

Awakening Europe

Since 2023, it has been our joy to serve in Germany with Awakening Europe, adding the gifts God has entrusted to us to a team passionate about Jesus and committed to sharing the Gospel worldwide. This year, our team launched the Million Month Initiative, activating and unifying believers across Europe with the shared goal of preaching the Gospel of Jesus. This summer alone, more than 104,707 people heard the Gospel in one-on-one conversations, and over 10,430 gave their lives to Jesus! We know that God isn’t done with Europe, and we will have the privilege of serving in this initiative on a larger scale in the summer of 2026. The harvest in Europe is truly ripe!

Lydia serves full-time with Awakening Europe, teaching Bible classes in the internship program, leading worship, directing the partners program, and hosting and ministering to visiting pastors and leaders.

Kerygma Camps

Salvator is ministering within Catholic communities, fueled by a deep passion to see faith come alive and revival ignite within the Catholic Church in Germany and beyond. Partnering with Global 2033, he helped launch a new initiative called Kerygma Camps—week-long evangelism training camps that equip Catholic believers to understand their identity in Christ, overcome fear, and boldly share the Gospel with others.

Salvator now serves as Co-Director of Kerygma Camps worldwide, and beginning in 2026, he and Lydia will travel internationally (around one week each month) to help lead these powerful weeks of equipping.

Thrive House

In the spring of 2025, God blessed us with the privilege of buying a home in Germany with a dream in our hearts to establish a discipleship home. Our vision is to welcome students from challenging family backgrounds who long to deepen their relationship with Jesus. By living with us for 1–2 years, they will journey from spiritual orphanhood to spiritual sonship, experiencing healing and transformation within the context of family.

Thrive House is a place to share meals, pursue God through worship and Bible study, and walk together in discipleship through everyday life.

We also desire to remodel the unfinished attic into a Leader’s Loft—a warm, inviting space to host leaders visiting Awakening Europe with a heart to pursue God deeply. Our desire is to see them refreshed and equipped to carry a fresh breath of the Lord back to their own communities, multiplying revival and renewal far beyond Germany.

We are currently fundraising 45,000 Euro to turn this empty attic into a life-giving retreat space.
