Skyler resides in Kannapolis, NC with his wife, Courtney, and their two children, Ezra and Olive. Skyler currently serves on the Executive Leadership Team for Ignite Movement as the Vice President of Campus Movement and Training and as a campus missionary/field worker at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Skyler is passionate about establishing vibrant Gospel communities on college campuses in order to see disciple making movements take root and college campuses saturated with a Gospel witness.

Estimates state that the average college campus is around 5% reached for the Gospel and only 4% of Gen Z has a Biblical worldview. Furthermore, around 70% of students who enter college as a Christian will exit with little or no faith in tact. However, college campuses are ripe for harvest and represent one of the most strategic mission fields in the world. Historically, college campuses have been the seedbed of significant revivals, awakenings, and mission movements which have gone on to impact the globe. The huge influx of international students also represents a tremendous opportunity to reach the nations. 300 current world leaders once studied in the United States and two of the top eight sending countries (countries responsible for sending the most international students to study in the U.S.) are countries that have restricted access to the Gospel. Bill Bright the founder of Cru was right in stating, “If we can win the university today, we will win the world tomorrow.”

Skyler and Courtney previously served on staff at the Refuge Church for nearly four years. During this time, Skyler served as the young adult, middle school and outreach pastor.

Skyler has spoken at Sunday morning services, young adults gatherings, youth services, school chapels, retreats and breakout sessions. Reach out by email: skylerfarley@ignitemvmt.com to invite Skyler to speak.

“Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel.” Ephesians 6:23
