Charlie + Celeese + Maya
We are the VanMeter Family. We have served in cross cultural missions since 2017. In that time, we both joined Youth With a Mission (YWAM) and completed the Discipleship Training School (DTS), School of Biblical Studies (SBS), and Titus Project. Celeese did her DTS in New Zealand and went on outreach to Uganda. Charlie did his DTS in Australia and went on outreach to Cambodia and Nepal. We both met in SBS on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. This school is where we were transformed by the power of studying God’s Word and gained a passion for teaching others how to inductively study the Bible. After SBS, we went on to attend Titus Project. This school helped us learn how to teach the bible study method from SBS. We then went on to staff an SBS and DBS (3 month Bible School) with YWAM.Â
We are now going to serve with the School of Biblical Studies again. This is a nine-month inductive Bible School. Students will learn how to interpret scriptures with proper historical and literary context. At the end of the school, students will have gone through all sixty-six books of the Bible and written commentary throughout. The goal of SBS is to see a generation of Biblically-literate, passionate followers of Jesus who can hold the holy scriptures with confidence and knowledge, and move into their spheres of influence with Spirit-filled power and love, spreading the name of Jesus and the truth of his gospel.
