God Moving in the Mountains!

Hello! Oh if I could write to you all of the amazing things that have happened since I landed in Kathmandu 3 days ago, but I have little time as Bigyan (the pastor friend that I have partnered with to do ministry these next 2 months) and I prepare to make the journy back up to the tibet boarder. We will go by motorbike, and the typically 3 hour journey will take 6-10 and require 3 hours of hiking through a mudslide that recently took out a village.

Since I have been in Kathmandu I have stayed with Bigyans sister, a sweet, playful, cheeky young lady of 21 years. She is a dear girl, and within the last 3 months recently recieved Christ. She was extremely ill, and the doctors could not find out why, or do anything for her. She went to get prayer from some Christian sisters and brothers, and God completely healed in a delivered her.She has since decided to follow Jesus and has a passion for evangelism and worship, pray for her growth in the Lord. Since this has happened, her parents also want to recieve the Lord I dont know if you remember from last January, but they are the ones who were deeply involoved in Hindism and had pictures of Mao, Marx, Darwin, and Stalin on their walls, as they considered them heros I will be living in their house in a village, and they have welcomed all night prayer meetings and Bible studies to be done at their house. Pray for me, as the spiritual atmosphere here is intense. God is doing great and mighty things.Pray for me to be established deeply in the Lord, also with my other team members, Ravi, Yam, Bigyan, Jodi and Indra. I will not have internet as the ants have eatten through the wires, so I am not sure how often I will be able to write. Please also pray for safety over me and the others as we travel and share the Gospel. Pray for healing over Bigyan also, he has had a cough for the last month and it doesnt seem to be improving. I visited the hindu priest that recieved Jesus last january, and he was happy to see me. He seems good, but still needs dicipleship to know how to really follow Jesus. Please pray for him too.

I love you all dearly, and I so appreciate your prayer. I am as vulerable as a child here, but where we are weak we are so strong. Pray that I walk in boldness, and power and intimacy with God, and strength. Thank you thank you Thank you.

Why is it Important to be Resilient?

The facts are only sometimes representative of reality, and there’s more to the story than we see. It’s powerful when we tune in to that compass bearing, look to God to help us create a complete picture of reality, and not just say, “Truth is whatever my sense is, but Lord, tell me the facts and the greater vantage point.”

Navigating the Pain of Change and Disappointment

That was the order we were given within minutes of discovering our residencies had been denied renewal. The city hall official was not hostile or aggressive, simply delivering orders. I responded that we would “absolutely not be leaving in thirty days.” She mentioned they would send a police officer to our door if we did not comply. I told her she could send the king; I still would not leave after thirty days. That was impossible!
