It all started at a youth camp in the French Alps in 2004. I was a missionary kid to France and had just gone through a major depression and had tried to commit suicide only a month prior. During one of the worship services, I told God He could have my life and asked Him what He was calling me to do. He showed me a vision, in which I saw myself playing guitar with a band in front of thousands of people who were worshipping God. There were old French buildings and architecture surrounding us. Ever since that moment, I knew God was calling me to music ministry in France and the rest of Europe.
In 2013, one of my best friends from France asked me to come back to France and help him and his church worship team arrange and record a live worship album. After spending 5 months at Eglise Horizon (Horizon Church) in South Paris, I felt God strongly telling me that I was where He had called me to be; and that He’d use our music to bring revival to France and the rest of Europe.
Horizon Louange (Horizon Worship) has now recorded two live worship albums and our band travels all over France and French-speaking Europe! Our most recent album released in December 2017, features a few French translations of American songs: “Lion and the Lamb,” “King of my Heart,” and more! Our calling is to light a fire in the hearts of young people and motivate them to use their giftings to reach France and the rest of Europe for Jesus. God has blessed us and opened amazing doors for our band and worship leaders. We’ve led worship for Todd White and opened for bands like Jesus Culture, the Torwalts and Martin Smith. Eglise Horizon also has a school of ministry and we teach musicianship, song writing and spiritual warfare in worship. We’ve seen many come to faith in Christ, recommit their lives to Christ, and be delivered from demonic possession and oppression.
In the Spring of 2016, I and a few members of our worship team felt God leading us to start a “secular” alternative rock band to reach people that would never step inside a church, and in the summer of 2017, our band “hømu” released its first full length album called “paradigmes.” We strongly believe that as Spirit-filled believers, we can walk into a dark place and change the atmosphere. We've been able to play in bars, music venues, and festivals around the Paris area and love on people that need Jesus.
Me and my fiancée (Débora) were recently ask to take over the Creative Department at our church "Eglise Horizon"! I head up our worship department and Débora heads up our media department. This is an exciting and busy change of pace for both of us and we appreciate your prayers!
Last May, Horizon Louange traveled to Israel for 3 days! We led a worship night in Tel Aviv that was broadcasted on TBN Israel and we shot a music video of our song "Tu Reviens"(the title track from our latest worship album). This music video was released in February 2019! We also had a concert night to launch our second worship album, “Tu Reviens,” at the Apollo Theatre, in Paris, on the 18th of May! Also in May, Makéda, founder of our worship band, was invited to represent our church, "Eglise Horizon," and lead worship for a young adult/youth conference called the DNJ!
Over 5300 people were present and hundreds gave their lives to Christ and were filled in the Holy Spirit. In June, we translated seven of our songs into Italian and traveled to Rome, Italy. We lead worship for a youth conference where God moved greatly and doors opened for future ministry with our new Italian friends. The weekend after, we traveled to the south of France for a worship nights tour. We were in the cities of Perpignan, Toulouse, and Bordeaux!
In December, we released a Christmas EP with the songs, "Angels we have heard on high," "Hope has come," and "O holy night," all in french, and we added a couple instrumental versions as well. We pray that everyone that listens to these songs feels God's presence and is filled with thankfulness for what Christmas truly represents; God's greatest gift to us, Jesus!
